An exciting new donation program will be initiated in the second half of 2014 – Build A Bomber. This campaign is designed to raise funds to help complete the restoration of our Canberra bomber by December 2016. Donations will earn a crew rank,a certificate, insider tours of the restoration and invitations to milestone events. The Restoration will be completed by the volunteers of the museum workshop partner organisation, Oceania Aviation Museum Inc.
The National Vietnam Veterans Museum holds many items in its collection. Some are small, some are very large indeed. One of our biggest items is a CAC Canberra bomber, and we want to move its restoration program forward. This of course takes money to help our dedicated aircraft enthusiasts buy the tools, equipment and materials needed to bring this magnificent aircraft back to life as a permanent display item in the museum.
In the ‘Build-a-Bomber’ campaign, your donation will entitle you to a crew ranking depending on the size of your donation, access to the newsletter of our restoration group, Oceania Aviation, and participation in behind the scenes tours of the restoration with our Aircraft Manager, Colin Grey OAM.
If you would like to become involved in this new donation program please inquire at the front counter when you are at the museum, or download our Donation form from this site and mail it in or go online.
